Brighton-based photographer Lynn Weddle was commissioned to produce a series of photographs to capture, celebrate and share stories from some of the people who take part in the Pallant House Gallery Community Programme.

Alive! by Mark Smith and Rachel Gadsden with Deaf Men Dancing has been showing over the summer at outdoor festivals across the UK. I saw it at the beginning of its tour of at Brighton Festival in May and at Liberty at its new venue on London’s South Bank on 3 September.

Last month I had the fortune to see Nick Blinko's exhibition in Pallant House Gallery's De'Longhi Print Room. The works on show fall into three clear styles: illustrations with a biographical element such as the drawing of the London Asylum; written works attributed to characters like Dr Fritz O’Skeenia and an extraordinary series of hyper-detailed abstract ink drawings.

Colin recently went to see the final year exhibition of the Arts in Inclusive Practice MA at Brighton University On 1 July I spent an afternoon at Brighton University attending a cross discipline symposium on disability. I was interested partly because I’ve always liked the work of the Rocket Artists and was intrigued to see work from a collaboration Peter Cutts, Outside In winner and Rockets artists, had undertaken with a student from the universities MA in Inclusive Arts Practice.
